GovN Group played a crucial role as the probity advisor for the Brisbane Metro Project, a high-frequency bus rapid transit system in Brisbane, with services commencing in July 2016 and continuing through 2023. The project, valued at over $600M, aims to transform Brisbane’s public transport network by introducing two routes capable of transporting 22,000 passengers per hour during peak times. GovN Group’s engagement covered the Feasibility stage, Business Case, pre-Procurement, and Procurement stages, ensuring robust probity throughout the project’s lifecycle for a cost of less than $500k.
The Brisbane Metro project involved four key packages, including an Alliance for Inner City works, Design and Construct for Metro Vehicles, and Construction-only contracts for suburban infrastructure and early works.
GovN Group developed and updated the Probity Plan at critical milestones, crafted a probity framework for the tender period, reviewed tender documents, and provided advice to mitigate probity risks. Their role extended to overseeing probity inductions, administering statutory declarations, and contributing to the evaluation process. GovN Group’s expertise was pivotal in navigating legislative changes following Operation Belcarra and other amendments, offering timely advice to maintain project integrity and legal compliance.
Our proactive approach ensured that all probity deliverables during various project stages were completed on time and within budget.
